When my daughter was 15, she went on her first train ride alone. She was headed to a chorale rehearsal on the North Shore of Boston. She went to the train station and boarded the train. When the train started moving, I am sure that she was talking to those around her, because she likes to make friends with everyone. The conductor came up to her and asked her for her ticket, which she gladly handed to him. The conductor gave her the ticket back and said that he hoped she would have a good time in Boston.
